Well, I thought the following stats were kind of interesting...

What do you suppose is the most popular hike report page on this site?

This one: http://www.amateur-hikers.com/mountain.asp?id=11789

I can understand that - probably a lot of people run searches for information on Mount Vesuvius.

On the other hand, the second most popular hike report is this one: http://www.amateur-hikers.com/mountain.asp?id=2087

Which doesn't seem quite so obvious, considering it's just a little mountain in Maine! (True, it does have ski slopes, but still...)

Which country do you suppose people are most likely to look at the "highest peaks" page for?

The obvious (and correct) answer is: United States. Obvious, because the bulk of this site's traffic is US traffic.

But what about the SECOND most visited "highest peaks" page?

Did you guess Argentina? And would you guess Brazil for third place? Well, if you guessed those, I'm impressed.

And which state are people most likely to be looking at "highest peak" info for?

New Hampshire.

Okay, one more odd statistic. The most frequently visited pages are obviously the ones which have either hike reports or descriptions. What do you suppose is the most visited mountain page which does NOT have any information posted?

It's this one: http://amateur-hikers.com/mountain.asp?id=13581

Of course, I'm not really expecting to see any "amateur" hike reports of that mountain...
